Thinking About Impermanence

It’s astonishing that in just one lifetime how there can be so many hellos and so many goodbyes. I guess it’s just the way this mixed up shook up, jumbled up world works. Nothing lasts. Nothing stays the same. The thought of a Billy Joel lyric makes me cry, Life is a series of hellos and goodbyes, I’m afraid it’s time for goodbye again.
